Virtual
Centre of Excellence:
An
inter-institutional virtual centre of excellence for
cooperation in water resources titled “Water
for Welfare” has been established under the chairmanship
of the Director IIT Roorkee , Head AHEC as member
Secretary with its secretariat at AHEC.
A sum of Rs One Crore has been released by the state
Government as a corpus.

Ecological
Assessment:
A
research project to develop and validate an ecological
assessment system comprising of field methods, analytical
procedures and computation tools, design for the streams and
rivers in the Hindu Kush Himalayan region has been started
with EU funding in partnership of a institutions from Seven
other countries.
