The location of the conference is IIT
Roorkee, India. The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT
Roorkee), the successor of the University of Roorkee is the oldest
technical institution of India.It offers undergraduate programmes,
Integrated Dual Degree, Integrated M. Tech Programmes, post-graduate
programmes and doctoral degree in specialized areas of technology,
architecture, science and management. India has altogether 7
Institutes of Technology (8 more are being established), which are
ranked among the best engineering institutions in the world. |

IIT Roorkee has a rich experience in
training the candidates/ officers especially from African Countries
for the

last fifty years. The Institute,
engaged in teaching and research, also offers its expertise through
consultancy services to private and public sector industries as well
as to various government agencies. Since 2003, a multi-disciplinary
team of IIT Roorkee has carried out performance testing of about 50
SHP stations of different types and capacities located in different
parts of the country. |

The travel of participants from Delhi
Airport to Roorkee and back of to Delhi Airport shall be arranged by
the conference organisers on payment basis by taxi or rail as per the convenience
and on the
receipt of the confirmed programme in advance. |

The travel by train requires advance reservation as these are in heavy demand. The cost of the travel by Executive Class is about 850 INR and by Chair Car is about 450 INR.
