Objectives
This hydropower plant simulator based training course is meant for improving the skills of plant engineer and operator on maintenance and operation of Small Hydropower plants. Trainees shall deal with various operating scenarios with care on safety and incident free working of the plant.
Training Module
General:
- Introduction to Real Time Digital Simulator.
- Over view of Small hydropower plants.
- Small Hydropower plant layout.
Operation of hydro plant under various operating conditions such as:
- Start up, Shutdown, Emergency shutdown.
- Load rejection.
- Black start.
- SCADA Operation.
- Trouble shooting.
Other activities of plant:
- Gate operation.
- Switchyard and power evacuation.
- Plant outages and safety tagging system.
- Plant safety and fire fighting.
- Monthly and annual reports and log books.
- Routine and special maintenance.
- New Developments in SHP Equipment.
